The I Ching, a compendium of Chinese wisdom and philosophy, can be an invaluable guide for life's most difficult problems. One can address a question to the book and by a process Carl Jung called "synchronicity" get a meaningful answer. Important questions about career, jobs, business decisions, relationships, or personal and spiritual development get answered with the wisdom of Chinese sages (see Use of the I Ching in the Analytic Setting and paragraph 4 in the Introduction to my web site www.EcoJung.com)
I do an intensive three-hour I Ching consultation using the yarrow stalk method. The first hour is spent exploring the issue and examining relevant dreams to determine if it is appropriate to put a question to the I Ching and how to frame the question. In the second hour I teach the individual how to use the ancient yarrow stalk method of generating the hexagram answers. The third hour is spent reading and interpreting the answers in three different translations.* I work the hexagrams much as I work with dreams.
The consultation can be done by phone if you can not come to the office. Ideally you would know how to do the yarrow stalk method, otherwise the simpler and faster coin method could be employed for phone consultations. Preferably you would have the three translations I work with.* The cost is $280 for a 3-hour consultation by phone or in person. Contact me by phone or email to set up a date and time.
